Renewing Coast Guard Documentation

Renewing Coast Guard Documentation

There are a lot of third party companies that will send you a notice stating that your documentation needs to be renewed. This is not coming directly from the Coast Guard. There are several third party companies that will charge you $75 to renew. One of our customers received the letter below in the mail. It stated the vessel name and vessel number; leading you to believe this is a necessary step in the renewal process. That is not the case. Renewing your document should only cost $26.

The Coast Guard offers a fast and easy way to renew your documentation. Below is the link to file your renewal online.
