Mike and I both grew up in the "Land Between the Lakes" area, around
Trigg County. We both have fond memories of boating and camping with
family and friends around Lake Barkley. With the help of his parents,
Mike was able to acquire his first boat at the age of 16.

Several years ago we did some research on renting a houseboat
for a family vacation with our three children. After looking at the
cost of a week's vacation, we decided this might be something we would
enjoy, long term. So, rather than just rent a boat for a week, we
embarked on our journey for the perfect houseboat
and found a 1974 50' Stardust!
Although it was in need of some clean-up and repair, we thought it was a diamond in the rough!

Now the proud owners of "Moon River III" (our third Stardust), we enjoy our summers houseboating on Lake Barkley. This wonderful pastime has given us quality family time together and many life long friendships. Houseboating is a wonderful diversion for us from our chaotic, day-to-day lives. Our son Zach, age 12, has already started saving up for his first boat!

We are very proud of the region in which we live that encompasses
 Lake Barkley. With thousands of miles of shoreline, Kentucky and
Lake Barkley is one the greatest freshwater recreational complexes
 in the country.
